The American Embassy in Athens, has been targeted by a rocket propelled grenade (rpg). Apparently a couple of seconds from the surveillance footage contain the masked faces of the suspected terrorists. Over the last week there has been a very sudden interest of journalists on image processing, human face detection and recognition and related biometric fields. Somehow they have overestimated the value of such techniques and believe that current state-of-the-art computer vision technology will be able to recover the faces of the suspects.

All kinds of professors appear on Greek TV networks claiming the impossible.
